Jungheinrich is a German based
intralogistics service and solution provider. It manufactures and supplies
forklift trucks in its capacity as a general contractor for complete logistics
Warehouse & Logistics News have revealed that Jungheinrich is set to unveil at CeMAT in May what it calls a "completely redesigned generation" of IC engine counterbalance trucks to meet the global need for high performance machines for use in harsh operating environments with low cost of ownership.
Jungheinrich invited Warehouse&Logistics News (W&LN) to Munich for a preview of their new hydrodynamic torque converter drive trucks in its DFG/TFG 316-320 and DFG/TFG 425-435 ranges of IC trucks. These new trucks can handle loads up to 3,500kg with stacking heights of 7.5m. They’re reliable and rugged in high temperatures and adverse conditions, delivering above-average throughout rates with low fuel consumption. They also boast high grade, are extremely durable and are suited for tough operations in different climate zones.
The trucks re powered with Kubota industrial engines tried and tested worldwide in heavy duty construction machinery to deliver high torque at low revs. Jungheinrichs engineering developments on these new trucks core components include a number of innovations to the mast, steering axle and chassis. The new proprietary transmission shaft features an integrated non-wear wet multi-disc brake reduces service costs by not being affected by harsh external conditions.
Servicing these trucks will also be quick, easy and economic due to the L-shaped engine bonnet that tilts almost 90 degrees and the quick release side panels provide easy access to the engine.
Jungheinrich is putting its truck driver’s wellbeing first with its new range of redesigned and reengineered driver workstation innovations. Some of these innovations include; the new Duo Pilot control unit which is located in the multi-adjustable armrest which gives the driver responsive control of truck operations, A new compact mast which further improves all round visibility, new interactive driver dialogue system with a multi-functional display to keep the driver informed in real time on the status of all situation relevant details, Control panel now features freely assignable function keys to operate modules such as driver assistance systems and there is also a USB port that can be used as a power source for recharging smart phones.
